On Thursday, we left for Little Rock since I had good Friday off. We got to Mike and Kathy's at around 10:00 and played the Wii for WAY too long waiting for Ben to arrive. On Friday we headed to the farm to check out the new bull and ride the new horse named Heeler. It was great and Heeler was fun and really quick. On Friday night we ate at a Little Rock favorite with the Rainwaters...Cozemel. Yum. Then we headed to my parent's house.
On Saturday, the allstar shower throwers of Immanuel were throwing Mark Kella a tool shower and it was at Mom and Dad's house. Everyone came over to help set up, and it turned into sort-of a party afternoon and we got to decorate and then sit outside and enjoy some lunch brought by Mr. Tommy. The shower that night went great and here are a couple pictures.
So great to see Ashley...a friend since PreK. Looking forward to her wedding in 3 weeks.
The beginnings of the party. Tripp being cute in the middle.
Who knew Dad's trailor would be shower decor?
Starting to wind down.
On Easter morning we got to go to Immanuel and see tons of people that we hadn't seen in quite a while. It's always nice to be there and see all the people that we grew up with and that helped to make us who we are.
After church we went to eat the Easter brunch at the country club and ate until we felt a little sick. As is the custom, we managed to snap some Easter pictures before we had to leave town.
Ok, here's what's going on here...Mom and Dad had just sat down to have their picture taken when Mom noticed that one of the pillows on her bench in the flower bed had fallen off. She very quickly asked Tripp to go put it back up and Tripp headed off to do it like a hunch-back. Lucky for everyone, I had the camera and was able to capture such a special moment between mother and son.
Mom and me!
Handsome men.
Dad was supposed to be in this picture...I think his right leg made it in.
On the Rainwater's front porch.
When we got back on Sunday night we couldn't really see our yard...but everything is springing up! Last year our tulip tree didn't bloom because of the late ice, but this year it made up for it! It has absolutely exploded. We also found a CHEAP concrete bird bath on Craig's List to complete the bed. We can't wait until all the rest of the plants come back...they're on their way!
Posing by the new purchase.
