Abigail was 8 months old on Friday! She's a precious precious baby girl and gets more and more fun every day. Here are some pictures...
Facts about our 8 month old:
1. Diapers: we just bumped up to size 3. They are still a smidge big, but I like how high they come up in the front and back!
2. Clothing: mostly 9 month goodies. We're actually going to have to buy some new clothes here pretty soon!
3. Teeth: nope! But I'm on the lookout.
4. Sleeping: We've now moved to two main naps a day, on in the morning and one in the afternoon. She sleeps from about 8:30-10:00 a.m. and is then awake until about 1:00 when she goes down. She sleeps until about 3:00. Sometimes she needs a little catnap from 5:00-5:30 and sometimes she doesn't! I LOVE this schedule because it leaves me with lots of errand running time over lunch. She sleeps at night from about 7:30-6:30.
5. Food: She's still nursing 5 times a day, but I can tell she is taking less milk. My supply has decreased substantially but seems to be exactly the amount that she wants. It's amazing and fantastic that God created it that way and I am loving every minute. I've often times thought that I might stop over the past month, because I still have to pump my left side, but I think I'm just going to ride it out for now. I'll just stop when she's uninterested or until David and I take a scheduled fall get-away together when she's just about a year old. :) She eats baby food 3 times a day. Fruit in the morning, veggies and fruit at lunch, and veggies and meat at dinner. She takes only about 2 ounces in the morning, and 4-5 ounces at lunch and dinner. The girl can eat.
6. Words: no "mamma" or "dada." I think I say them to her a couple hundred times a day hoping to hear it. No luck!
7. Movement: Abigail is mildly mobile. She wants so desperately to crawl and tries SO hard. She just can't get the forward motion down. She ends up pushing herself over and just rolling, which is how she gets around. She can travel quickly and far rolling around the room, but she can't master getting herself to go forward! It's hilarious.
8. She belly laughs, fake laughs, smiles for the camera, blows endless bubbles, gives the best kisses and is so so easy going. She changes every day and it seems like these months just keep passing faster! We're trying to soak up every single moment.
Life in Little Rock is going really really well. We're entering our fourth week here and we're starting to get into a routine. David's first official week was last week and it went really well. He's had some patients and we are so thankful for the friends that have called and made appointments. Thank you for being willing to get David's patient base started! It is slow going here at the first, but we are here for the long haul and know that God provided us this opportunity.
This weekend we got to see Ben since he came in town and then spent all day on Sunday painting. We got a lot done and I hope to begin posting pictures sometime soon. Did I already say that recently? :)
