The best laid plans...

Sometimes the best plans we make just aren't what happens. As I've blogged before, our house has been for sale for right at about a month and on Sunday evening we went under contract! It was our plan to head to Little Rock to close on our house there on June 7. Then I would stay the week and paint and and get things ready for us to move in. David would come back to Little Rock the next weekend and finish building our backyard fence for ole Deuce dog and then we would go back to Kansas City together for 2 more weeks until David's program was over. Moving day was June 29. Well...

...this buyer, who happens to own Oklahoma Joe's BBQ, wanted us out sooner than that. We move to Little Rock next Friday! No going for a week and painting for me, no two final weeks in Kansas City before moving home, no completing Deuce's fence! This Sunday is our last Sunday at LBC and all of our family is coming up to help us move next weekend. We close June 14. David is going to try and cram his schedule tight so he only has about a week and half to be up here by himself to finish up the AEGD. Once moving in next weekend he will come back to KC for about a week and half to finish things up and then come to Little Rock for good. We're still working on where he will stay etc.

Although things have moved quickly, we are thankful. More than thankful. We are thrilled about our new house and grateful to have sold this one so easily. Once we close on the new house this weekend I'll put a picture of it up and give some details. For now, I've got major boxes to pack! :)
