Tripp is married!

Last Wednesday I bravely drove down to Fayetteville without David one day early so that my Granny and Grandad could meet Abigail for the first time. Abigail did great and I only stopped once to feed her. The entire long weekend was so much fun and I just can't believe that my little brother is married. It was a weekend of blessings and lots of fun. Here's all that went on...

Here are some pictures from Wednesday night when I came into town...

Abigail is so blessed to have both my Mom's parents to love on her. She will love being with so much.

On Thursday I helped Mom and Dad set up for the rehearsal dinner during the day and it turned out so pretty. The Frank Pippins came into town on Thursday and we all got to enjoy a family dinner as we waited for David to get to town.

On Friday, the wedding festivities really kicked into high gear. Me, Mom, Abigail and Granny all headed to the bridesmaid luncheon while Dad and Tripp ran errands and David took Grandad and Frank and the triplets to "The Rolling Pin." P.S. If you're ever in Fayetteville, check it out and don't forget to order you some chocolate gravy. Abigail got dressed up for her first bridal luncheon. Kara looked fantastic and it was such a sweet time of celebration. I was also glad to spend some time getting to know the other bridesmaids.

After the bridal luncheon we had a little bit of rest time before the rehearsal. We took Abigail to the rehearsal (which we slept through) and then Mike and Kathy met us at Mermaids and took her back to the hotel so we could do the rehearsal dinner without her. I was so sad not to have her with us, but it was especially nice to leave her with Mike and Kathy and enjoy ourselves. Some pictures from the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner...

The rehearsal dinner was so sweet. The speeches were very special and I cried all the way through mine of course. I just couldn't help it...I'm so happy for Tripp and I just think my new sister-in-law is perfect!

On Saturday morning it was wedding time! The girls all went to Kara's parents house to get ready while the guys went to eat at Rick's Iron Skillet. David had the camera, so all the pictures from that morning are of the guys, but hopefully when we get to see the wedding photos I can put some of them up on on the blog.

Guys getting ready at Tripp's house...

The wedding itself was beautiful and a wonderful witness of both their relationships with Christ. I can't wait to share life with these two. We didn't take our camera to the reception, but Mike snagged a couple pics for us before we left the church. Again, hopefully when the photographer gets us the pictures I can post more. The reception was a PARTY. The band was fantastic and everyone basically stayed on the dance floor the whole time. At one point the lead singer had everyone get around Tripp and Kara and they had 20 seconds of music to show everyone all they had as far as dance moves. They weren't shy at all and did their best. Next, came the parents of the bride and groom. I wish I could have known my parents in the 70s...they have so much rhythm. They stole that part of the show hands down. I wish I had a video of it.

On Sunday we grabbed breakfast with my parents and David's parents and then went to help take gifts to Tripp's house.

Four generations of women!

Today Abigail is 7 weeks old and she's feeling pretty darn good about it!...
