Unfortunately we're not as happy today as we were in these sweet pictures. We went to the doctor on Monday for her check-up and immunizations and the doctor said it was possible that she might get a fever from getting the shots. I really hoped we could get away without having a fever, but alas, today she has one and feels really yucky. I'm doing what the doctor said and giving her the newborn tylenol and I hope she'll start to feel better really soon.
Other than the fever, the appointment went great and Abigail is doing fantastic! Here are her new 2-month stats:
Head: 15 inches--30%
Height: 22 1/4 inches--25%
Weight: 10 pounds 12 ounces--50%
We may not be looking at a very tall little girl...no surprise since I'm so tall myself. :) She gained 2 pounds this month and I am pumped. I guessed she was close to 11 pounds because of all the new clothes she is able to wear these days. I want to record some other things that have gone on this month so I won't forget.
Abigail is now wearing most of her 3 month clothing and has grown out of almost all of her newborn items. Insert tear here. :) She started smiling this month and will smile at me almost any time I smile and start talking to her. I love hearing her coo and gurgle and she is starting to "talk" a lot. Her knew favorite way to sit is with her back on our chests while we walk around the house. I guess she likes looking around. She hates tummy time, which discourages me from doing it, but I'm trying to do better about it. She can hold her head up fairly well but still kind-of looks like a little bobble head doll sometimes. Her happy place is her changing table and she will talk to me the whole time I change her. There is a mirror above the dresser and I love sitting her up in front of the mirror after I change her and watching her see herself. When Abigail sneezes, she always sneezes like 5 times. Super funny and cute. She tracks objects well and still doesn't really like her swing a ton unfortunately. Size 1 diapers fit her perfectly and she has rolls on her thighs, upper arms, forearms, hands, and feet. I could kiss them all over, and usually do. Bath time is also a happy time now. No more tears and I've even gotten a couple smiles.
She is of course sleeping in her crib and has been since about week 2. We don't swaddle her anymore usually either unless she's being cranky. She sleeps in a layette or foot pajama under her favorite blanket with both arms up in the air. She's a great sleeper and usually goes down by 11:00 and gets up at 6:00. We're going to start trying to bump her bedtime up little by little this month, so we'll see how that goes.
