Sushi and Coffee

We love sushi and we love coffee, but we enjoyed them seperately this weekend! Our weekend fun kind-of started on Thursday night. Our gospel group usually meets on Thursdays, but we finished our last study, so we had a purely social night to celebrate. JJ and Mandy invited everyone to their house to make our own sushi! They had everything set up and were ready to teach everyone. None of the other couples had ever made their own either.

We cut and sliced and had a great time!

First you cut all your ingredients up!

Then you spread your rice on the seaweed and load in all your goodies.

And you get...

...some pretty legitimate looking sushi

Afterward we roasted some s'mores! The weather has turned cold on us and it's really starting to feel like fall.

On Friday night we stayed in and watched a movie. It was a tiring week and we literally laid around all Friday night after David did a little home repair work. We have recently found a leak that has bubbled some of our paint in the dining room. We think it's coming in from the satelite dish that's on our roof (unused by us and given as a "gift" from the previous owners). He did his best to fix it. Hopefully it will work and we can move on to fixing the wall of our dining room.

Dangerous roof-man!

Deuce was attentive. He didn't feel completely secure as to why David would be so high up!

All done!

This morning we met some friends from our Sunday School class to go on a tour of the Roasterie! It was fun to see how it all worked...we're definitely Roasterie fans now. There were some random hats and a coffee bean to put your head in right inside the plant. We seized the opportunity and put on the random hats for a photo opportunity.

Guys too.

The whole group!

Afterward we went to eat lunch and then came home and relaxed for a little bit. It's been rainy and chilly here, so we're taking it slow too. David is studying this afternoon...yes, studying is back. He has registered for the first part of his second round of boards (confusing, I know), and he will take them at the end of November. Yikes! He'll do great I know. I have recently agreed to help out with the cheerleading program at school more again. Not being completely in charge like I was two years ago, but basically running practices and making up cheers. It helps to be compensated and to not have to go to classes at night. We've done a lot so far this weekend, and it's not over! Tonight we're going to Matt and Diana's house to hang out and watch the OU/Florida State game.
