HOT

Ok let's talk about this heat. It is way hot in KC right now. In fact, it is just as hot here as it is in Arkansas. It's the kind-of heat that is fit for neither man nor beast.

Ways the heat has impacted us negatively:
1. Very hot bus rides for summer work (the kind where you work really hard to keep any of your skin from touching the person next to you).
2. The interior of David's car reaching staggeringly hot temperatures.
3. Immediate sweating when taking out the trash, getting the mail, or talking to Larry and Joann.
4. A VERY drooly dog.
5. An even lazier cat.
6. Death to all my potted plants. I gave up and let them die.
7. Unbelievable water bills trying to keep our grass even somewhat alive.

Deuce has spent SO much time inside because of how hot it has been. He pretty much spends all day inside. Lazy dog?...

I don't blame him though. I would never want him to spend any extended amount of time out in this heat. We are camping out indoors until 8:00 p.m. or after when we go and walk Deuce. Tonight we came back and made mango/strawberry smoothies and sat on the floor so we didn't get our furniture sweaty. :)

Alright I'm done complaing about the heat. Everyone knows I'm totally a child of summer and would rather be hot and sweaty than freezing any day. So to be fair...

Ways the heat has impacted us positively:
1. More quality time together indoors.
2. Deuce has learned to be an inside dog.
3. Sooie gets more sleep.
4. We have learned to work our sprinkler.
5. I get to pick out new plants for our pots.

Have a good week! :)

OH this post is just hilarious. I loved reading that! And pogs literally were the most pointless collection of tiny cardboard circles ever. But I had them too! :) Ha ha. Great job on the blog, Rach!
