On Thursday, February 18, David's Papaw passed away in Ruston, LA. We immediately made plans to head down and I got a sub for Friday. We went through Fayetteville on Friday and picked up Ben and headed all the way down Ruston. The funeral was very nice and David, Ben, and John sang at the funeral. It was a wonderful tribute to their grandfather. While we were there, we found out that David's other grandfather, "Grandpa" was not doing well. We decided to stay an extra day and get to Arkadelphia to see him.
We are very thankful that we did, because Grandpa passed away this Wednesday, February24. We are going down to Arkadelphia today and will be home on Sunday. David and Ben and John will sing again and all the family has plans to be there. We appreciate all the prayers and well-wishes we have received from friends in KC...it has really made a difference. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel again and as David gets through mid-terms.
Last night the cheerleading season was officially over. I ran a Mini Camp as fund raiser for the cheerleaders and the K-3rd grade girls got to spend time learning cheers with my cheerleaders and then perform them at the game. They even got a cheerleading T-shirt! I think it turned out really good and I got a lot of positive feedback from parents. My cheerleaders also did their "big routine" with their new stunt in it.
The mini camp group.
Cute little ones.
My girls being goofy after their last game of the season.
