On Saturday David and I celebrated our 6th anniversary! It's been a quick jump from 5 to 6 with all that we have had going on this year. Being in Little Rock has been fantastic and we feel very "planted" here. I know people say it all the time on their anniversary, but these 6 years really have been the best of my life. I feel so blessed to be married to David Rainwater.
On our actual anniversary (Saturday), we went to the wedding of Calvin and Brittany Vaughan in Fayetteville. While we didn't really get an alone date night on the day of our anniversary, we still got a night out. Kara's sister, Colleen, was nice enough to watch Abigail and put her down for us at Tripp and Kara's house so we could enjoy the wedding. We had a great time and it was kind-of fun being somewhere with lots of people to wish you happy anniversary. :)
After arriving in Fayetteville on Saturday we met Mom and Dad at Hugo's for lunch (which is where we ate lunch on the day we got engaged, so it was anniversary day appropriate). Abigail took at a nap at the HO while David met Ben to practice the song they were singing at the wedding. Before getting ready for the wedding we were able to snap a couple pictures on Old Main lawn.
We didn't write the words on the steps...they were already there, but they seemed appropriate.
In that last picture Abigail is sitting on the stone that David and I sat on and took a picture on the day we got engaged.
Sitting beside her great-grandfather's name...
Here we are in-between the wedding and the reception.
On Sunday we went to church with Tripp and Kara and then went to Bordino's for brunch and to celebrate Tripp's birthday, which happened to be on Sunday!
After coming home on Sunday and getting some much-needed rest, we went out to a nice dinner, just the two of us, at Arthur's Steakhouse. It was DELICIOUS and a wonderful time together. Six years down...here's to 60 more!
