Super Bowl Weekend

As I began to write this post, I originally made the title "11 weeks," but then I decided to make an effort to have the title be something that we did this weekend, instead of Abigail's age. :) But...she IS 11 weeks today. ;)

Anyway, we had an absolutely wonderful weekend. I love having David at the house and it really felt like we had great family time this weekend. Last week was great too and Abigail is on a pretty good routine now. Here are some iPhone pictures from the week.

Trying out our Bumbo seat. She likes it ok. Not the most fun thing she could do, but she'll tolerate it for her Mommy.
I think she looks hilarious in this picture, like "what in the world are we doing?"

She's a happy happy baby in the mornings. I get her up at 7:00 and then she eats and stays awake until about 8:00 and then she's out for the count until around 10:00. But after that morning meal and before she gets tired again, she's a sweetie pie.

So this weekend we hung around the house in the morning. We snuggled our girl and watched some TV. Having David home is so great because he's so quick to offer to change a diaper, or get her dressed, and is just an all-around great Daddy. In the afternoon we ran some errands and fed on the run. She is hilarious when we feed in the car. She used to scream bloody murder, and now it's all fun and games. She spit up all the way down the back of my chair. Delightful...at least she thought so.

Saturday night Abigail slept perfectly from 7:30 all the way to 10:00 and David and I were able to spend the entire night together and actually watched a movie uninterrupted all the way through! Then we fed her at 10:00 and she went straight back to sleep and I woke her up at 7:00 a.m. as usual. She usually has some awake time after that 7:00 feeding and wants to play...we must have tired her out in the day.

Sunday was a wonderful day at church as was Super Bowl Sunday! Two years ago our Sunday School class had a party and there were essentially no kids. We didn't go last year, but this year it was a totally different party. Everybody had kids and it was so fun! It's a different time in life, but equally as fun. There was a guys chili cook-off and David didn't win. :( There was also a women's bake-off, and I didn't win. :( I don't know what happened. Clearly the voting was rigged.

Abigail like her first party and was very tired afterward. Now we have another regular week except that our families are coming to town this upcoming weekend for Abigail's baby dedication at LBC. We haven't seen everyone since Tripp's wedding and I can't wait. I FaceTime Mom a lot in the week, but I'm excited for everyone to see Abigail in person again. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

She'll probably kill me for these pictures later, but I can't resist. I'm obsessed with her little rolls.

Bath time is a happy time now.

David took care of things at the house when I went to the grocery store on Sunday afternoon. This is before I left...

When I came home...

I'm feeling really good at home these days. I've found my groove and get a lot of fulfillment from taking care of things at the house. I love being able to take care of things for David so he doesn't have to mess with it. And of course I love taking care of Abigail. I still can't believe it's already been 11 weeks. Sometimes it seems like it's been longer, and other times it seems like we just had her. As a side note, our pets do still exist, although when I'm home all day they create so much work for me! I wouldn't vacuum like a mad woman without all this dumb pet hair around! I keep telling myself, "I like our pets. Our pets are good pets. Pets are good for kids." Repeat. ;)
