We had such a fantastic Christmas! It was "Cashion Christmas" this year so we went to the Christmas Eve service at church and then went over to my parents house for dinner. Tripp and Kara were in town and it was actually Tripp's first ever Christmas service at Immanuel. Really fun.
After dinner we hung out for a little bit then headed home. After getting the kids to bed we got Santa all set up, which was just as fun this year as it was last year. Maybe even more fun since we knew that Abigail was acutely aware that he was going to bring her presents. We stayed up WAY too late, but loved it. As a sidetone, on Christmas morning at 4:30 a.m. we were woken up by a banging in our culdasack. As it turns out, our paper boy's car had broken down and our neighbor was outside trying to help him get it started. David stumbled out, surveyed the scene, then came back to bed.
Christmas morning was so much fun. Abigail was thrilled with what Santa had brought her (a horse barn was her big gift), but I think she liked her little stocking stuffers the very best. After Santa we headed over to my parent's house and spent the day opening presents, hanging out, eating and simply enjoying being together. A highlight for me was seeing Emma and Sutton together and also watching Abigail kind of be the "big girl."
The day after Christmas we spent the day at Mike and Kathy's celebrating. It was basically a duplicate of the day before with more presents, more food and more great time with family. Abigail loves hanging out with Shepherd and Rebecca.
