I took Abigail and Emma to the doctor on Monday for their check-ups together, so I thought I might also blog them together.
Abigail Jane at 3 years old...
1. Height: 2 ft 11 3/4 inches tall--17%
Weight: 28 lb--19%
2. Clothing: Pants--2T; Leggings--3T; Shirts and Dresses--3T
3. Abigail is simply hilarious. Some of the best things she says are...
--"Sometimes we do this right Mommy? Sometimes?"
--"Watch this big girl!"
--"I just love you so much Mommy."
--"What?! What?!"
--"Why Mommy? Tell me Mommy, why?"
--Me: "Abigail, let's turn off the TV." Abigail: "Let's just leave it on. How about that?"
I know that these don't seem really all that funny, but it's the WAY that she says it and I just hope that I can remember it. She constantly talks about how much she loves her sister and tells David and I that she loves us all the time. She sounds totally country...especially when she says the word, "there."
4. She goes to Mother's Day Out twice a week (Monday and Thursday) and I pick her up at noon. She seems to really like her class and teachers. She has a really good group of kids in there.
5. Gymnastics: Since June Abigail was gone to a gymnastics class at River City once a week and has loved it. She's pretty good at it as well. ;)
6. Abigail has also been able to start Mission Friends on Wednesday nights. It's just a little 45 minute class, but it's fun to have a child involved in Wednesday night activities. I am also teaching the 4 year olds.
7. Abigail takes a nap from around 1:30-3:30 and goes to bed between 8:30 and 9:00. She gets up around 7:00 am. She now gets out of bed and comes to our room when she gets up in the mornings and waits for me at the top of the stairs after nap.
8. Before going to sleep she says her prayers and likes to list all of her family members. Recently she has also started thanking God for her family and asking for forgiveness. David does bedtime, so that is a special time for the two of them. He has Bible stories on his phone and Abigail will say, "We watch a Bible story on Daddy's phone?" She loves to snuggle and always asks us to lay with her for a little while. We generally allow it. ;)
9. Abigail has begun to associate letters with words and will ask me, "What this say Mommy?" She also loves to have her toenails painted. As I write this she is asleep in her room and all five toes on each foot are painted a different color.
10. She loves Emma, but also gets frustrated with her when she gets in her way. Managing their personalities is something that I'm working on.
Emma Grace at 9 months...
1. Weight: 19 lb 1 oz (50%)
Height: 28 in (25%)
2. Diapers: Size 4
3. Clothing: 9 months and 12 months
4. Daily Schedule:
7:00 Wake up and have a bottle
8:00 Breakfast
8:30-10:00 Nap
11:00 Bottle
12:00 Lunch
1:00-3:00 Nap
5:30 Dinner
7:15 Bedtime bottle and down for the night
5. Bottle: She takes 4 a day and each are between 5 and 6 ounces.
6. Food: Aroun 9 months she began to reject baby food and only want finger food. Her pediatrician said that is fine, so she is pretty much on finger food exclusively now. She loves to eat and it quite good at it.
7. Favorite food: bananas, avocado, turkey sausage, hot dogs, chicken, strawberries, crackers, cheerios, carrots, potatoes, pasta...basically everything. Although she won't eat broccoli.
8. Emma does not go to Mother's Day Out unless I have a specific thing to get done. So she goes about 1 once a month.
9. TWO TEETH!
10. Crawling. Everywhere. She is literally into everything.
