We've been to the beach!!! On Wednesday, July 22 we loaded up the mid-size and drove ourselves down to Orange Beach, AL to spend a couple days with my parents, Tripp, Kara and Sutton. The drive was not too terrible, but not super great either. We got in at midnight, having thought that Abigail would sleep, but she really had a hard time. We spent Thursday-Sunday enjoying the beach and each other. Mom and Dad had gotten us a great condo and we all had plenty of room. I was proud of my kids and David and I really felt like we got to enjoy some time away. We ate dinner in one night, but also ate at Acme Oyster Company, Wolf Bay Lodge and The Gulf. Best food was probably Wolf Bay Lodge, best overall atmosphere was easily The Gulf.
As expected, we didn't spend hours and hours on the beach together thanks to the littlest girl, but we really did have a fantastic trip. Couldn't have been better. We were also very thankful that Abigail like the sand this year. David found her shells, caught her fish and tried to help her build sand castles. Wonderful trip.
