Mother's Day

Our weekends have been filled with yard work recently, leaving me too tired to do any blog posts. We have built two new flower beds and the backyard looks so so much better than it did when we moved in. There are more improvements to come, but for now, we're done. We are getting very close to beginning the kitchen re-model and have been working on picking things out for that as well.

This past weekend was Mother's Day and it was so fun living in Little Rock for it. I felt so celebrated and couldn't be more thankful to David for making it so special for me. We also celebrated with both David's mom and my mom. On Friday afternoon a beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived for me and kicked off the weekend. We grilled out that night and enjoyed such a nice night at home together.

On Saturday morning we met David's parents and John and Sarah for breakfast to celebrate Mother's Day with Kathy. Afterward we went down to the Big Dam Bridge and walked around for a little bit. It was a delightful morning.

After breakfast, David and I went and picked out some granite for the kitchen and then came home for Abigail's nap. After nap we did a little more yard work, hung out with our neighbors, and Abigail swam in her little backyard mini pool. As a sidenote, our neighbor's daughter invited me to jump om her trampoline and asked if I could do a flip. IT HAS BEEN A WHILE, but you know what I did it! Forward and backward. And I felt like I was going to die afterward. :)

On Saturday night we went out to dinner and then came home to watch a movie. On Sunday we went out to lunch just our little family and I felt so celebrated. Abigail (David) game me "A Classic Mother's Day" at the Rejuvination Clinic, which includes a massage, manicure and pedicure. I can't wait to use it.

On Sunday night we had my parents over to celebrate Mother's Day with my Mom. We had a casual dinner and cooked fajitas. It was so nice. I am very lucky to have such a wonderful mom and mother-in-law and to live in town with both of them.
