This has been an exciting weekend for David and I. The pumpkin patch on Friday went well. I didn't have any parent volunteers so I was a little bit stressed, but everyone had a good time. I got two free pie pumpkins too! On Friday night we were all set up for TONS of trick-or-treaters. We ordered a pizza, relaxed, and waited. We had about twenty kids come by. It was really fun. Our first Halloween together and we did not run out of candy! We met a couple named Chris and Sarah Price at Sunday School last week, so after the trick-or-treaters we went to their house and watched a movie. They are really nice and we hope to get to know them better. When we got back around midnight our jackolantern had been smashed! :( Crazy kids. On Friday night David also finished the french door. It looks unbelievable and he did a perfect job. On Saturday David studied and I cleaned the house etc. We thought it might be fun to go see the Lion King on Saturday night, but didn't end up being able to get tickets. On Sunday morning we walked down at Lenexa Baptist Church and joined. We are really excited to be connected to a church up here and look forward to getting involved. We can't wait to take anyone who comes to see us to see the church! Our new pastor also apprently knows Pastor Gary and his wife graduated from UMKC school of Dentistry. It's a really good church with a lot of the same qualities as Immanuel. We can't believe that we are not members of Immanuel anymore, but know that "LBC" is where we need to be. In this post I've included some of the pictures from the pumpkin patch on Friday and my new Thanksgiving bulletin boards.

The pictures are so great! It's so fun to be able to recognize the children and teachers. They are all so wonderful! I know that your day was both fun and exhausting. I'm so proud that you are now members of your local church. There's nothing more important! I know that it will be a blessing and that ya'll will be a blessing to it! Your boards look soooo good! We love ya'll and can't wait to see you again soon!
